For those schools with students at "exceeding," focus is on continuing by placing yearly goals of achievement.
Suggestions: -Tie a formative to assess the intervention to determine if the program is doing what is claimed. -Design a template to collect data as part of a district initiative. Then use the data to determine "drop" or "keep."
Next steps: -How to integrate needs of technology with tasks currently being implemented. -Elementary and high schools are breaking down the new math standards. -Going to state meetings to take a look. -Out-of-time standards - need to be aware of gaps in instruction.
Our district's next steps include: -Looking at scheduling to allow for re-teach/enrich time -Have an assessment system that provides data on student groupings -Additional time for teachers to look at available data -Compile data from existing programs to establish baselines and figure out next steps
Our next steps include -Uniformed implementation -Superintendent must make clear the expectations/goals to all staff members -Have a presentation of a dialog in a classroom
1. Put small group instruction in place 2. Paradigm shift 3. Evaluate reteach/enrich intervention period 4. Tighten down pacing guides 5. Linking standards to intervention 6. Develop RTI model 7. Item analysis utilized to target interventions
Our next steps include -Full integration of available technology in the classroom, with the inclusion of interactive whiteboards and data input devices -Professional Development – ongoing training is necessary in the following areas: -Galileo formative assessments and lessons -Accelerated reading/math -New laptops -Read naturally
Our next steps include: -Teacher “buy-in” -Overcoming existing mindset -User friendly, show results -Time -Must have product at end -Use of committees -District support -Online Professional Development as an incentive -Teacher achievement
